Core conditions and inner needs

Core conditions and your inner needs

An exceedingly popular leadership model has been labelled as a “servant leadership style”. No leader should be a servant. Servants do what they are told to do, leaders consult and tell others what to do and are decision-makers as well as great problem solvers. I agree that leaders serve their people in many ways but I just don`t feel that “servantship” reflect the greatness and grandiose of leadership.

Conscious leaders are idea hunters, instruction givers, policy and decision-makers. Above all those numerous roles there is one that is largely underestimated: a role of a facilitator. Having a strong educational background I have been aware of this role in teaching and tried to be a facilitator of learning, rather than a provider of knowledge hoping that the knowledge will be processed in the correct way and implemented appropriately.

A role of a leader is to expect and require certain standards and demand results. Much too often that is where the leadership ends. The leader should create a growth space for their team members and that should be done by taking into account individual differences and their mental, emotional, spiritual, social and financial safety as well as needs.

Conscious leaders understand that safety comes first. You have to feel safe to be able to express yourself and to contribute, let alone lead others.

When providing those essential conditions a conscious leader should be cautioned about possible ego getting in the way here.  The ego may show up in either thinking that leaders should be listened to and obeyed at all times, or the team member`s ego might be very demanding of a leader while having unrealistic expectations.

Knowing the core human needs and knowing all individuals in your team, it will be easy to not only increase the team`s creativity and productivity but also it will be a lot easier to recognise, celebrate and appreciate your team members.

Well… Ready to be loved by your team?

As a leader…

– you`ll be able to create conditions where you will maximise your effectiveness and productivity

– the one common trait under all of those core conditions has – a key to leadership: CONTROL

– you`ll be able to increase profitability, improve results and outcomes of the team as a whole and as individual members

– you`ll be able to meet all of the needs of your inner energy; you`ll meet the needs of others in your team which will boost productivity and make your leadership stronger on every level: mental, emotional, spiritual, social, emotional, financial

– you`ll be able to acknowledge, appreciate and celebrate your team the right way!

Ego

– you`ll understand exactly how ego works, see its impact on others and address it

– you`ll understand how to eliminate ego and transform others from employees into leaders

– you`ll be able to eliminate ego traits from your team and improve connection and communication and empathy

– you`ll transform self-interest into a service to others
